Practices
The project includes the construction of a sunken road, a western landscape deck and connection bridges to the existing road network in Yau Ma Tei.
Build King – SKEC Joint Venture (BKSKJV) implemented sustainable initiatives such as the Windscreen Washing System to promote piling safety, the Easy-Attached Magnetic Water Sprinkler to reduce dust emission during excavation, and invented the 4-in-1 Automatic Dust Suppression Mist Spraying Control System to dampen air pollutants.
Windscreen Washing System
A water sprinkler is attached on the excavator breaker and bucket. The sprinkler automatically removed the dirt on the windscreen which let the workers have clear vision and ensure their safety.
Easy-Attached Magnetic Water Sprinkler
Water sprinkler is attached on the excavator breaker and bucket by using strong magnet. The workers do not need to spray water manually near the excavator, which eliminated the risk of accident.
Automatic 4-in-1 Dust Control Misting System
The solar-powered mist spraying system can analyse the weather and automatically adjust spraying frequency. When temperature or humidity exceeds the pre-set value, the system will automatically provides spraying. The mist nozzles installed on the system help to reduce up to 70% water consumption.
